Sustainable Thinking

In order to become truly sustainable, we must redefine sustainability.

Sustainability = profitability + positive impact.

Sustainability is making sure you still exist as a company in the future and thus indispensable... apart from making a healthy profit, it’s impossible to survive and thrive while making a positive impact.

Sustainability is about sustaining life, in a world where technology is having a prominent role in society there are endless possibilities to make your attribution toward a positive impact on the world.

Being a business means that people put their trust and money in you and your products. To be able to continue to be a business, people expect you to carry your sustainable responsibility, being in your well-earned so fortunate position

So... welcome to the sustainability bandwagon, if you’d really like to make the most of this, our experience has shown that you’d do best to follow the following steps:

Discuss, define and classify what sustainability means for the world and for your business. For instance: introduce home office to reduce traffic pollution, recycle your current production waste into a spinoff business idea or introduce LED lighting in your office. Scale them according to the environmental impact and sustaining your business growth (profitability).

Formulating your sustainability vision. We explore the world of tomorrow by creating scenarios according to the VUCA tendencies wherein we will gain insight into what our influence and responsibility are towards creating a better future scenario. Then you translate these actions into your sustainability goals.

Communicate your sustainability plans to win as broad support as possible to enter the sustainability transition and live the future. Animation, one visual, or a storyboard are some of the visual communication tools to gain support or so that the whole team can get behind, a visual you can always refer to when you need a reminder of your vision.

Explore the tools and align them with your goals. Research the possibilities and validate them to your goals and core values. Discover new possibilities and with our sustainability validation techniques which allow you to make calculative chooses that are truly sustainable.

Make your implementation roadmap. Now you have your vision and the tools you can work on a timeline for implementation. This timeline can be about pilots, training, events, communication, etc This map must be a tool for your team to explain the progress and what is on the schedule.
